Let’s Go to Camp!
It’s time to go to camp! Here’s the traveler’s notebook that I made for my mom camp time.
As a girl, I really wanted to go to camp. I did get a chance to do a few girl scout outings, but never got to do fun things like cheerleading, tennis, or Bible camp. This wasn’t because my parents said no. It was because I never asked them. Things were tough for us, so asking for things that weren’t necessary wasn’t my jam unless it was Christmas. When Christmas came around, all bets were off and believe me they got a list to work with.
As an adult, the idea of going to camp or women’s retreats is amazing. I’ve even been to a few. But finding the time and being away from my family is always a challenge. That’s why I love the idea of creating camp at home.
Camping at Home
I’m not talking about pitching tents here, although I may very well do that one day. I’m talking about stealing two or more hours doing what I want to do – without guilt. This could be relaxing in the bath, reading a book, or Bible journaling.
I make sure the kids are entertained, the dogs are occupied or sleeping, and that the hubby has the reigns. Then I close my door. Nobody bothers me when I’m at mom camp. Not even the dogs.
When I got the Revival Camp kit, I was reminded that it was due for another “mom camp.” So, I grabbed my kit and got started.
A Sneak Peak Into My Traveler’s Notebook
I used a traveler’s notebook for the revival camp kit and spent a few hours diving deep into the Word. Here’s a sneak peak at what I did.
