It’s heart breaking to see my friends in Houston and surrounding areas continue to struggle in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. There are no words that I can write that can take the pain and feelings of loss away. What I can do is pray, and prayer is a big deal. I pray constantly and find myself drawn to the Word, painting, coloring, and sometimes mixing the tears that fall with the watercolors that preceded them. I believe that everything is purposeful. I trust in God. But there are no words and there are no answers and as a believer, I must simply trust.
I believe that everything is purposeful. I trust in God. There are no answers to my thoughts and questions, and that’s ok.
What Can We Do?

Support Others
I am so thankful for the community of Bible Journaler’s who have been lifting our friends and those unknown to us up in prayer. Never have I seen so much support, love, and compassion for one another. They always tell me that I’m a good teacher, but the truth is that they teach me too…more than they know.
What are other ways of support that you know of? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
Tracie, although you’re not hearing anything about it on the news, Montana has 40 fires raging out of control, and this has been going on for a month. Some of these fires are over 100,000 acres burned. The entire state is under a fire disaster order from the governor. I have family there, everyone is OK, but the entire state is engulfed in smoke and air quality warnings have been posted for all of the major cities, two of which my family lives in. Federal disaster funds are not being allocated, so Montana is footing the bill for all of these forest fires. Three of the fires are close to where my family lives. My heart breaks, I used to live there , and to think the next time I go there the state will be charred. People have lost there homes and a couple of people have died. Please pray for Montana while you pray for Texas.
Will do! Thank you Donna. I’m so sorry to hear about this and I am glad your family is safe. I will continue to pray for Montana as well.
Thank you! I just wish the networks would pick up this story so that people could know how bad it is and help could be sent to Montana.
Thank you for your generous spirit, Tracie.
I am just starting in bible journaling and just printed this Pray for Texas Template. I printed it in color…..are these meant to be cut out and affixed to my bible? and if so what medium should I use to do so?
I am doing the email daily intro classes and finding them very helpful!!
Thank you!
