Yay! It’s here – the first post sharing our wonderful Bible journaling design team, called “The Creative Faith Crew.”
At Bible Journaling Ministries, our mission is to help others grow in the Word creatively, but we don’t do that alone. The Bible says that two are better than one (Ecclesiastes 4:9), and thank goodness for that! There are many volunteers, freelancers, and two employees behind the scenes that make things come together in our ministry all for the glory of God.
About the Creative Faith Crew Bible Journaling Design Team
The Creative Faith Crew Bible journaling design team’s role is to encourage and inspire others through Bible journaling. They share their creations on various social media platforms and in their local community. By sharing the Word in a creative way, they pique the interest of those who find beauty in their art but may not know Jesus Christ, help those may be struggling with opening their Bible to find more joy in doing so, and encourage someone who regularly reads the Bible to read it more or worship in a new way. Through their efforts, the Lord is glorified! And isn’t that what it’s all about?

Amanda Hargrove – Team Lead
I am a happily married wife of 24 years to an amazing man, Andy. A momma to two beautiful children, Adam (17) and Alayna (11). I work at my daughter’s school in the cafeteria and help prepare lunches to feed precious preschoolers every day. I enjoy it, as I know the Lord has placed me there with amazing co-workers, I get to be on campus with my daughter all day and I get a healthy discount in tuition!
The Lord has taught me so much patience and grace with my son, he was born with Down syndrome and later diagnosed with Autism. He is nonverbal and completely dependent on my husband and I. He is our miracle baby and our special treasure. Both of my kiddos are! I was born and raised in KY and am a constant guzzler of sweet tea!
I am so excited to get to know you over the next three months! I pray you will feel welcome and feel you can be open with us here. Our goal is to grow creatively in His word and share our creativity. Blessings!!!!

Rebecca Burnsworth

I have been Bible journaling since about 2015 or 2016. I love to do pages in my Bible and love to share them everywhere. I was saved when I was 8 years old and have been following Jesus ever since! I am so excited for this opportunity and hope to bring great ideas to the group as well as others in the Bible journaling community!

James 1:5 NIV “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Lori Lauman
Hi! My name is Lori Lauman. I’m from Charlotte NC and very excited to be a part of this crew!!
I discovered bible journaling several years ago after the tragic death of my big sister. I had some scriptures written in her beautiful, loopy handwriting that I wanted to preserve. So I decorated them in a journal- then in my bible. That’s when I discovered that bible journaling was actually a thing! Being creative in God’s word helped me tremendously through the grieving process.
I have been married for 23 years and we have 2 daughters in college and a son in his last couple of years in high school. My full-time career is in accounting and finance, but since I’ve discovered my creative side, all I want to do is paint and create!!
Here’s Lori’s design using our Ephesians 2:8 – Creative Faith Crew Bible journaling Kit in her planner.
Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves it is the gift of God.”
Cathy Maher
Hello everyone!
I’m Cathy and glad to join our team here.
I am originally from the East Coast and still consider myself a Jersey Girl and boardwalk lover. Moving to IL at age 14, I tried very hard to keep my beautiful accent. But it’s no longer detectable. I talk like a Chicago lady!
I’ve been married to Joe since 1995 and between us we have a total of 12 grandchildren, with two more on the way. We have plans to retire in a year and relocate to Tuscan so we can be closer to some of his kids and grandkids out there. I’m so excited, can hardly wait.
I’m a BIG cat lover and up until this year, we had three lovable cats who graciously allowed us to share their home. Two of the cats were getting old and became ill. We lost both of them within a couple months. I didn’t want “Bubbie” to be a lonely cat so we adopted a little boy kitten to keep her company. Unknown to us, “Charlie” was born with liver dysfunction and we lost him after 9 months. It was a difficult time, but the Lord has settled my heart with Bubbie and my joy is complete once more.
I started Bible Journalling around two years ago. I can’t recall where I first heard about it, but I dove right in. Now I have too many Bibles to count! I have grown and learned a lot since then and I know it will always be a part of my life. I haven’t been very active on other social media but i anticipate more now.

Jeremiah 17:12-13 The Lord is a Fountain of Life. We are warned not to abandon Him or turn away.
Justine Dandrea
Hi my name is Justine I live in Palm Bay FL with my husband and two younger children. I have 4 kiddos all together 23, 21, 14 and 10. My 21-year-old daughter has blessed me with two wonderful grandbabies. Addie and Noah! I love being a Mimi!!
It amazes me when I think about the journey God has me on and how I got to FL.
In the last two years, He has blessed me with a wonderful Women’s Ministry. We were in an art studio but had to close it. We were all sad but God has a plan and I believe that plan is to bring the ministry to the www. God is stretching and molding me. ????
I enjoy teaching bible journaling as well as faith art, painting, and paper crafting.
Here’s Justine’s design using our Genesis Kit in the Momentum Bible journaling program.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
Felicia Smith
I am a new Christian as of 5 years ago and was introduced to Christ through my (at the time) 12-year-old daughter and the Bible journaling community. I have never been one to be interested in opening a bible until I found a way to illustrate my readings for better understanding.
What is Bible journaling to you and why is it important to you? I am not good at memorizing so being able to flip through a page and see the art helps me relate to the Scripture.
Here’s Felicia’s design using our Psalm Kit in the Momentum Bible journaling program.
Psalm 16:11 – You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Joyce Darr
Hi everyone, I’m Joyce Darr a wife of 19 years to a good Godly man who accepted my children as his own, mother of two beautiful young women and grandmother of 4 soon to be 5.
I started Bible Journaling December of last year, so I am still new and learning so much. I can say without a doubt that these past 9 months has enriched my quiet time and walk with my Lord and Savior.
I am excited to be on this journey with all of you and super excited to see how the Lord is going to use us and the ministry. I am in the process of starting my own blog (I’ve never considered myself to be a writer but am looking forward to learning to blog as well). God is definitely getting me out of my comfort zone.
Here’s Joyce’s design using our 2 Corinthians Kit in the Momentum Bible journaling program.
2 Corinthians 6:10- As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.
DeJaniera Little
Hey there. I’m DeJaniera and I began bible journaling this year. In fact, I purchased 100 Days of Bible Promises and fell in love with all the beautiful bible pages. I’m planner obsessed and I wanted to expand my hobby a bit. Sooo…I purchased some watercolor, gelatos, stencils and other stuff I didn’t need and went all in. I love it!
Anyway, I am from Philly (home of the championship EAGLES). I have a grown son who won’t leave my house ( I secretly love having him around). I have 5 little doggies who are named after famous jazz artists and actors. I’m a Realtor and selling homes is a passion. Oh and I also love sweet tea!
Here’s Dejaniera’s design using our The Wind Blows Bible journaling kit.
John 3:3-8 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Natalie Zeller
I am a born & raised Kentuckian (so, yes sweet tea is a staple here too), and I’m married to my high school sweetheart. We have two sweet rambunctious boys, Hunter (5) and Zachary (2). They keep me pretty busy! I am blessed to serve as a preschool teacher at the school my boys attend, and I love being able to see them throughout their day and watch them interact and grow with their friends!
I’ve been journaling for about a year and a half, thanks to my sweet friend Amanda. She introduced me to this wonderful world ❤️ I am excited to share and grow.
Here’s Natalie’s design using our Haggai kit in the Momentum Bible journaling program.
Haggai 1:5-6 Now, therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways. You have sown much, and harvested little. You eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm. And he who earns wages does so to put them into a bag with holes.

Isaiah 26:9 My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
