Bible journaling with mermaids is a fun way to enjoy the Word. I like mermaids. They make me smile when I look at them. It’s probably because The Little Mermaid was one of my favorite childhood films. So you can imagine how much fun I had using our latest release: Ezekiel 47:9 – The River Flows Bible Journaling Kit.
I’ve never seen a mermaid before, so I won’t comment on folklore or what other people’s views are about them. I also haven’t seen the New Heaven or New Earth, so I’m not sure if they’ll be there either. Only God can answer that. What I do know is that mermaids make me smile, and smiling while reading my Bible is a good thing.
So if you’re searching for fun ways to read more of and engage your Bible, I encourage you to give these a whirl. Hopefully, they’ll bring a smile to your face in both the New and Old Testaments.
Bible Journaling With Mermaids – 7 Ideas
Proverbs 27:19
As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.
This entry was done in a tiny Bible. I picked this up at the Goodwill for .99. If you can’t find one at your thrift store, you can purchase one using our ministry affiliate link (we may receive a commission if you use our link – thank you): https://amzn.to/2O4ANTh. I love to Bible journal in Tiny Bibles if I don’t have the time to do a larger layout. This way I can still get my time with God and have a little creativity in my day.
Acts 27:41-44
But striking a reef, they ran the vessel aground. The bow stuck and remained immovable, and the stern was being broken up by the surf. The soldiers’ plan was to kill the prisoners, lest any should swim away and escape. But the centurion, wishing to save Paul, kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and make for the land, and the rest on planks or on pieces of the ship. And so it was that all were brought safely to land.
This layout is also done in a Tiny Bible.
Psalm 98:7
Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it!
This layout is done in my first and almost full Bible journal. It’s no longer in print, but there is a newer version of it. You can find out which Bible is right for you here.
Isaiah 33:5-6
The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness, and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.
Psalm 148:7-8
Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps, fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word!
Job 28:18
No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal; the price of wisdom is above pearls.
Ezekiel 47:9
And wherever the river goes, every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish. For this water goes there, that the waters of the sea may become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes.
I hope my layouts inspire you to have fun Bible journaling with mermaids. What other verses can you think of that would work with them? I’d love to know more in the comments below!
