It’s no secret. I love Bible journaling and I love Bible journaling beautiful verses! For the most part, I try to keep my art simple and easy to allow myself to spend more time in the Word and less time worrying about the art. Of course, there are times when I will spend hours on a piece. Especially, if I’m meditating on a Scripture that’s speaking to my heart. There’s no “right” way to Bible journal as long as your heart is in the right place and focused on God.
When working with these printables (coming to Momentum next week and to the store next month), I used tissue paper, vellum, and clear sticker paper to see which one I like the best. By far, sticker paper is my favorite, but tissue paper is a close second and much better for my budget! I use regular tissue paper for gifting and encase it in gesso or matte medium. To learn how to print and use tissue paper, click here. The clear sticker paper I use is from Avery. Here’s our affiliate link (note we may receive a commission when you purchase via our links): Avery Sticker Sheets. For vellum, I just purchase the pack at Joann, Hobby Lobby, or Michaels with a coupon. I have found it to be the cheapest there.
Bible Journaling Beautiful Verses
Hebrews 6:19
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil;
John 9:25
He therefore answered, “I don’t know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”
Luke 23:34
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.
Matthew 28:6
He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.
Proverbs 31:25
Strength and dignity are her clothing.
She laughs at the time to come.
Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations.
I will be exalted in the earth.”
It’s hard to tell which of the Bible journaling entries are with tissue paper, clear sticker paper, or vellum. That’s why I usually go with tissue paper when I’m doing beautiful verses. I’ve also use white sticker paper, but I have to cut it with my machine to make stickers. I like a clean line…ha! Which do you prefer? I’d love to know in the comments below!
